The basic forms begin on the potters wheel, a reflection of Glen's throwing background producing functional and collectable pottery since 1978. White stoneware parts are altered, hand sculpted elements are added, textures are impressed and carved, then specially formulated glazes are precisely applied. Most pieces are fired to about 2300 degrees Fahrenheit using electric, gas, soda, salt and wood kilns. Each type of firing yields wide-ranging, and often surprising, surface effects.
